A-10 Thunderbolt II V2 Twin 64mm High Performance EDF Jet - PNP from Freewing - FJ10621P

Based on the famous close air support A-10 Thunderbolt II, also known as the "Warthog" or "Tank Killer" this is the updated version of the Freewing twin 64mm A-10. Featuring a European theatre camouflage, full-house functionality including flaps and retracts, and updated power systems, this is sure to be a stunner. Typical to Freewing quality, this plane looks amazing and flies rock-steady and fast. The twin 12-blade EDFs produce an amazingly realistic jet engine sound, while giving it plenty of power for high speed maneuvers, and the wing planform allows stable flight at slow speeds.

The routing of servo wires, battery compartment size (to obtain correct CG), allotted receiver space, wing/stab attachments are all less than satisfactory. The critical CG balance point has to be achieved by adding significant nose weight and the manual does not cover this adequately. Also, the static elevator position needs to be adjusted to more of an up position than depicted in the manual. Additionally, this model needs to flown uncharacteristically fast to preclude unstable flight and stall. I would not recommend this model except for very skilled RC pilots with lightning-fast reactions. Both of my models were lost due to my error (stall) but it was an immediate unexpected event. I've been flying RC for about 6 years and fly prop warbirds and EDF jets routinely. This Freewing A-10 in my opinion is not a quality model and has unstable flight characteristics.

That is my only negative once I repaired the red wire on the throttle servo lead just like you guys. Kinda wish it was a 6S system for longer flight times. Still a fun edf. Jet
